Women Speeding up India’s Digital Revolution as More Women than Men are Employed by IT Players

Women are becoming more socially and economically autonomous thanks to digital infrastructure and solutions that guarantee their participation in all spheres of society. It is evident how the epidemic has affected the speed at which digital transformation is occurring. India is leading the way in the digital revolution, and other developing nations can learn from its path toward financial inclusion. The government approved the extension of the Digital India program in August of this year with an outlay of Rs 14,903 crore to support digital projects, as it continues to endeavour to establish a modern digital infrastructure to ensure that the benefits of the digital revolution reach everyone.

The goal of the expanded Digital India program is to build on the work completed under the earlier iteration of the program.

Women are now more socially and economically autonomous because to the advancement of digital infrastructure, which has made it possible for them to participate in all spheres of society. Varanium Cloud, a technology solutions company based in Mumbai, recently signed a deal with SecUR Credentials to use its multi-use, phy-gital computing infrastructure to offer high-compute BPO services in non-urban locations. Over 125 people have been hired by it, with 60% of them being women.

Our goal has always been to establish a whole environment for the communities living outside of cities. “Providing ample and lucrative employment opportunities is a natural extension of post-education facilities,” stated Dr. Harshawardhan Sabale.

By providing a wide range of digital solutions, such as Edge Data Centers, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Edtech, and more, it has helped close the skills gap in the digital industry and created many job possibilities.

Rapid digital usage has raised productivity overall and shown promise as a tool for empowering women to overcome obstacles and achieve gender equality.
