Business Today unveils its 21st edition of the Most Powerful Women in Business today-the list honors 60 noteworthy women driving change and shaping Indian business into the future. Twelve new faces feature on the list, signaling diversity in female leadership across sectors, while 37 returnees are from last year’s edition. Apart from this, two trailblazers were also inducted into the prestigious MPW Hall of Fame after winning seven consecutive wins, which made this season memorably impactful on the business landscape.
The annual gathering honors women who broke down barriers, made industries take a new turn, and set new marks as leaders. This year’s hones bring together finance, technology, healthcare, real estate, and consumer goods-a mix that well represents the growing influence of women in many fields.
Notable achievers in this category include Schauna Chauhan, CEO of Parle Agro, who has diversified in dairy products post the pandemic, and Ananya Birla, Founder and Chairperson of Svatantra Microfinance. Her achievements demonstrated exemplary entrepreneurial leadership as she built the company into a prominent player in the microfinance industry. Prabha Narasimhan, MD and CEO of Colgate-Palmolive India, was able to succeed by innovating products. On the other hand, Prativa Mohapatra, VP and Managing Director of Adobe India, has strategic game-changing partnerships form a strong pillar of her success.
In this regard, the list also pays tribute to more influential leaders, such as Ameera Shah of Metropolis Healthcare, Padmaja Ruparel of Indian Angel Network, and Shefali Goradia of Deloitte South Asia-the women who not only achieved tremendous success but also inspire future generations of leadership.
