An Uttar Pradesh BTech alumna utilized LinkedIn, a professional networking site, to negotiate the best deal her college has ever offered. According to News 18, Muskan Agrawal from the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Una has been hired as a software development engineer, earning ₹60 lakh annually. She has been employed by the Bengaluru-based company for over five months now.
Muskan is a shining example for all engineering hopefuls who believe that attending prestigious universities will secure them a well-paying career. Muskan continued to take part in open-source projects and enroll in several internship programs in addition to her academics. Media sources said that she had begun learning to code a long time ago. She entered the annual TechGik Geek Goddess 2022 coding competition last year, which led to her being named the “top woman coder” in the nation. After outlasting over 69,000 female coders, she won the title, according to India Today. She also received a prize of ₹1.5 lakh.
She had been learning to code for years and was also involved with the Girlscript Foundation. In addition, Muskan was one of the 40 women chosen for LinkedIn’s mentorship initiative.
Additionally, she has finished her internship with TechCurators. She developed data structures and algorithm challenges for coding platforms such as Hacker Earth, Test Gorilla, and others during her internship days.
In addition to reaching significant life milestones, she became well-known among her peers thanks to her designation as a Harvard WeCode Scholar. She has taken part in WECode, the largest student-run technology conference in the world, which is organized by female undergraduates at Harvard University.
A trainee from IIIT-Una received an annual package of ₹47 lakhs last year. Approximately 86% of all trainees were able to land a well-paying position with MNCs. ₹50 lakh employment offers have also been extended to Muskan’s fellow batchmates.
