Mysuru Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer K.M. Gayathri visited the unit and noted that a group of rural women in H.D. Kote taluk were making a creative effort to produce cold-pressed oil through their self-help group. He directed the local panchayat authorities to provide marketing facilities to their effort.
The Jeevanadhara cold-pressed oil manufacturing facility is situated in the taluk’s Hosaholalu gramme panchayat at Manjegowdanahalli Haadi. The women who make up the Kalamma Self Help Group of Sanjeevani Federation are in charge of the group. The SHGs’ initiatives are designed to support, mentor, and organise the women who are working hard on their projects. It is determined that these women have a strong potential for hard work and self-control.

Using the benefits provided by the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act is what she advised the village residents to do. The Act provides adult members of rural households who demand employment and are willing to perform unskilled manual labour with a legal guarantee of one hundred days of wage employment in a fiscal year. The areas that the Central Government notifies will be covered by the Act. By creating wage jobs through projects that strengthen the local infrastructure, the Act seeks to improve the security of people’s means of subsistence in rural areas.
In addition, she checked the quality of the children’s midday meals at the village’s government lower primary school and observed how the uniforms and shoes were distributed.
Later, Ms. Gayathri went to the anganwadi centre to verify some documents and also looked over the kitchen and store room.
After that, she went to Hosaholalu GP to look over tax collection and other documents including e-attendance, property surveys, MGNREGA, and Jal Jeevan Mission documentation.
